Not just the viewers, but even the actors of Game of Thrones have often shared how awestruck they were to read some scenes let alone act them out. Stars including Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, and even Sophie Turner have shared their shock upon learning about some scenes and the turn of the fates.
From beheading characters without a second thought to introducing new ones to enhance the storyline, the HBO show often played with the fans’ feelings. But it was nice to know that the actors felt the same, further making their shock look more authentic on screen. Regardless of how stern her character became in the show, Turner, in reality, is more sensitive to emotional content.
Sophie Turner Cannot Watch Titanic without Bawling
While she may not be alone in feeling this, actress Sophie Turner has revealed that she cannot watch the classic romance movie Titanic without breaking into tears. We all saw the horrors her character Sansa Stark witnessed on the show Game of Thrones. Despite how strong and cold she became on-screen, Turner is still a little girl inside who cannot stand the sadness of the movie Titanic.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actress previously shared her experience watching the $2.2 Billion epic movie Titanic,
I can’t watch Titanic without breaking down within the first 10 minutes. You know when it got re-released in 3D, I went to see it again. My mom came to pick me up from the cinema and I was just bawling my eyes out. And my friend Ellie who came with me was trying to talk to me and I just said, “How can you talk after this?” It’s so emotionally destroying.
Earlier in the interview, Turner also appreciates the movie Heavenly Creatures and in turn, expresses her admiration for Kate Winslet who acted for the first time in the same. For the movie Titanic as well, the chemistry between Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio is what made the tragic movie a true love story. Turner’s inability to sit through the movie without crying is certainly relatable to most of her fans out there.
Sophie Turner is Moving On
After her split from Joe Jonas, Turner is reportedly moving on from the pain and focusing on happier things in life. The actress was seen out with her gap pals quite often ever since news of her divorce broke out. However, she seems to have met someone special over the past few months and things are growing steadily between the two.
Turner is all loved up with Peregrine Pearson, a handsome British property developer and viscount’s son. She even spoke about the relationship in an interview with Vogue where she mentioned,
I am having fun dating. It’s very fun. I mean, it’s strange when you get married so young. It’s like you never really learn how to date. So it’s all very new to me.
Turner married Jonas when she was just 23 and had her two kids very soon afterward. Understandably, she did not have the time to date and see what the world has to offer. Learning from her past mistakes, the actress is taking things slow and is allowing herself enough time to cope with everything that has happened.
