On the other side of the story, there is Tupac Shakur, who is often regarded as one of the best rappers ever. Shakur’s life ended young, and the mystery around his death is still keeping him alive in speculations, and many of them have been connected to Diddy himself.

To recall, Tupac Shakur was shot on September 7, 1996, after he stopped at a red light. 6 days later, the rapper lost his life, and his murder has remained a mystery for almost 30 years now, waiting to be resolved.

However, Shakur’s well-wishers have not given up yet, and according to Court TV, the rapper’s family has hired a high-profile New York attorney, Alex Spiro. Spiro will reportedly investigate a possible link between Shakur’s murder and Diddy. It looks like the family is looking to hit their target at his most vulnerable state.

It is not the first time that Diddy’s name has come up in relation to Shakur’s death. Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who is the only person charged with Shakur’s murder, had accused Diddy of planning the murder. According to People, Davis revealed that Diddy said to him that he “needed to get rid of Knight and Shakur” and also offered him $1 million for that.

Moreover, as per Court TV, Suge Knight Jr. has also allegedly accused Diddy of being involved in the murder case directly or indirectly. The East Coast-West Coast rivalry is not hidden from anyone. Tupac Shakur was the West Coast king, while Diddy and Notorious B.I.G. came from the East.

Shakur also dropped many diss tracks targeting Biggie and Bad Boy Records. Now, Shakur’s investigation has become more than solving a decades-old murder. It is now getting linked to the large crime racket that has been accused of Diddy.

Although there have been many allegations from fellow rappers and Shakur’s family and fans, Diddy has never acknowledged them and always retaliated. In 2008, when the Los Angeles Times reported that his associates were involved in Shakur’s murder, Diddy said (via Billboard),

The story is a lie. It is beyond ridiculous and completely false. Neither (the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.) nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during or after it happened. I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story.

However, as Diddy is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, the situation might be risking his survival. Insiders are warning that Diddy might end up in danger. Author of The Federal Prison Handbook, Christopher Zoukis, told RadarOnline.com,

If you are a persona non grata for a certain gang or group, there are people who will go out of their way to do something bad to you.

The West Coast gangbangers might use Diddy’s vulnerability as their opportunity to avenge Shakur’s murder. It is a far cry from Diddy’s once lavish life. The man who once rapped Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down is now literally held down by the legal system and may face threats from other convicts.
