‘Difference between LA and the Bronx – The size of my closet’: Jennifer Lopez Radiates Diva Arrogance, Disses The Bronx – Neighborhood That Made Her
Jennifer Lopez is one of the most influential singers who established herself as the highest-paid Hispanic actress in the Hollywood industry. To think that a girl belonging to a borough of New York City would make a great name in the industry is quite inspiring however her recent statement somehow seems off as she was shining brightly with her diva appearance.
Being a super popular celebrity, she glammed herself again with the arrogance she is usually criticized for and dissed her old hometown which is one of the reasons behind her successful career.

The 53-year-old actress recently had a conversation with Vogue where she shared her opinions on her neighborhood when she was encountered with a question.
For the unversed, the Hispanic actress was born in the Bronx, a borough of New York City, and raised in its Castle Hill neighborhood. When she was asked, “What would you say is the biggest difference between here and the Bronx.”
Jennifer Lopez replied by stating, “The Size of my closet!” It’s not a secret that the diva has a huge space just for her closet which would indirectly compare the distance between her LA home and her old neighborhood.
J.Lo’s Life in The Bronx
The Selena actor was raised in the Bronx, which is deemed a tough neighborhood that became quite a struggling era for the actress. Her entire family lived in a small apartment for years until her parents saved up the money to move into their very own house.
Due to her talent for singing and dancing, she was enrolled in the lessons which became a stepping stone for her successful career. At the 2002 press junket for her film Maid In Manhattan, she shared how the Bronx is a part of her.
“For 20 years I lived in the Bronx, okay. I grew up there, Puerto Rican, that’s not going to change. And I just feel like that’s going to manifest itself in everything I do. It’s not a conscious like I have to put that I’m from the Bronx in this song. It’s not like that, it’s just whatever you do, who you are comes through.”
The Jenny from the Block singer in a last year’s interview shared how “growing up in the Bronx really did shape me because I grew up with not a lot.” She shared that “it is the heartbeat inside of me that is the Bronx and my upbringing that continues to drive me.”
Even though J. Lo still recalls her old neighborhood in her heart, it does not change the fact that she has often shown how much she wants to neglect her past.
In 2011 The Fiat advertisement, she was accused of using her body double who filmed her portion from her hometown. To think that she did not appear in NYC’s poorest borough, her hometown displays just how her native place inspires her.
