Doctor Strange 2 Theory States The MCU Is A Post ‘House Of M’ Universe
Coming off of such a big ending to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Three, Marvel was supposed to have to think of a whole new way in which they might raise the stakes in Phase Four. And as per a recent theory, the House of M was just what’s needed going forward as it was already there.
House of M is an impressive tale in which the Marvel universe has been rewritten from ground zero. The story was well documented and the writers were applauded for coming up with such a well-written script. The script resulted in a dramatic shift in the timeline in which humans have been reduced to second-class citizens while they struggle and fight desperately to rid themselves of a seemingly unjust regime ruling over them valiantly. In some way, House of M tells us that our real-world will eventually be remade and we must wait until we get a grip of what direction it will take us next.

However, inspired by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, an intriguing new theory echoed that House of M was already there before the MCU. The weirdest part – it all makes a lot of sense.
Marvel’s House Of M
One of the most influential storylines in the history of Marvel Comics was House of M. It was published several years ago. This story created a major change in the relationship between mutants and humans for years to come. The X-Men are one group of superheroes who’ve experienced many traumas such as those experienced during Planet X. This was a story written by Grant Morrison where Magneto is portrayed to be killing hundreds of thousands of humans, straining Wanda Maximoff even further, especially since she couldn’t have children with somebody like Vision whose DNA is non-mutant.
Moreover, House of M was spread over an eight-issue series, including several obligatory spin-offs and standalone issues that were set in its special world. Magneto achieved his goal: With humans being treated as second-class citizens by the mutant community, who now have self-appointed roles of authority.

How House Of M And MCU Are Linked?
Marvel’s Doctor Strange 2 will be building on the House of M storyline. It looks like we have Wanda looking for her children and the arrival of Professor X; sound familiar? Did we just accidentally go Meta or is someone at Marvel channeling Stan Lee by purposely adapting one of his own storylines that existed before?
While Professor X is confirmed to be joining the Multiverse of Madness, it seems unlikely that he will be joined by his X-men pals. But what if it’s because the X-men have been absent from the MCU since the events of Infinity War and Endgame which could open a dimensional door for them (and Wanda) to come back? It may sound like madness, but such detail from the Doctor Strange 2 trailer has us convinced.

To conclude, it may sound far-fetched. But the rumors suggest that Multiverse of Madness might introduce mutants into the Marvels Cinematic Universe. If it is going to happen, it would mark an important turning point for the franchise and House of M’s untold possibilities for future storylines and plot as well.
