Cyrus cares about the connection that is formed between the performer and the audience. During an interview in the past, Cyrus explained why she is averse to performing in front of a big crowd. The 30-year-old singer said,
“Like singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love. There’s no connection. There’s no safety.”
She further added,
“It’s also not natural. It’s so isolating because if you’re in front of 100,000 people then you are alone.”
For Cyrus, it is an isolating feeling when she feels no connection with the audience. As an artist, she prefers to perform where she is comfortable, and performing before a large crowd is out of her comfort zone.
