Rappers and tattoos go hand-in-hand, but Drake takes it a step further by inking portraits of loved ones on his body. The 37-year-old has around 55 tattoos, each with a special meaning.

Some tattoos represent his friends, family, or favorite music, while others depict nature and things he likes. In 2017, the Canadian star got a tattoo that stirred up some controversy due to its backstory. This controversy has now given Kendrick Lamar a reason to throw shade at him.

The ongoing feud between these rap icons shows no signs of slowing down. Both Drake and Lamar are using their tracks to make bold claims against each other. Recently, K-Dot made a daring assertion that directly references OVO’s 2017 mishap, adding fuel to the fire of their rivalry.

Drake is known for his sentimental tattoos. He has portraits of his late grandmother, uncle, and mother, alongside his father’s mugshot. He also has a tattoo of  The Beatles, Denzel Washington, and Aaliyah, and he has even expressed his desire for a Celine Dion tattoo, too!

Back in 2017, Aub showed off a new tattoo on his left tricep: a portrait of Lil Wayne, the legendary rapper who signed him to Young Money in 2009. This tattoo seems like a fitting tribute, a gesture of respect for his mentor who launched his career. However, this respect clashes with claims surrounding Drake and Weezy’s ex-girlfriend. According to Kendrick Lamar‘s recent lyrics, the One Dance singer dated Wayne’s unknown girlfriend while he was in jail.

Lamar criticized Champagne Papi for this past incident, likening it to a passive apology. “Fu**ed on [Lil] Wayne’s girl while he was in jail, that’s conniving,” the 17-time Grammy awardee raps in his recently released diss track Not Like Us. “Then get his face tatted like a b*tch apologizing.”

The 36-year-old’s latest song came out about a day after he released another strong track called Meet The Grahams on a Friday night. This was his reply to Drake’s diss track, named Family Matters, which also came out that same night.

In a 2016 interview with HipHollywood, while promoting his book release of Gone ‘Til November, Lil Wayne was questioned if Drake had been with his girlfriend while he was in jail. At first, Dr. Carter singer acted like he didn’t remember, but then he said it wasn’t a big deal. Lil Tunechi started:

“Please, anybody that know me real well, when you see this, please tweet it and vouch for me– I have a very, very, very terrible memory. I swear to God, I don’t know what y’all talking about. I just did three, four interviews and I just kept it moving, like, yeah, Drake, yeah.”

He then confessed, “Oh, I wasn’t worried about that. That’s just how life go when you locked up,” adding “she still be texting me and stuff. Stop texting me too, for real.” According to Complex, the 41-year-old has talked about this openly multiple times.
