The British actress recently played Katherine Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, starring Cillian Murphy, and she received rave reviews for the part. Emily Blunt says the Royal Family members have a lot in common with A-list stars
British actress Emily Blunt, who is mostly regarded as Emily, the senior assistant of Miranda Priestly played by Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada, says that she thinks that the Royal Family members have a lot in common with the A-list celebrities in the industry.
According to the Irish Independent, the actress, while promoting her movie Gulliver’s Travels said,
“I wonder if royal families are actually like actors because they’ve got this mystique about them. You wonder what they actually do behind closed doors and then you meet them and you realize they’re just normal people. I think it’s quite a task being a royal because you have to be on all the time, it must be a strange experience.”
Blunt had shared that she met Prince Harry and Williams at a pretty cool polo match and she realized how normal they are. She also revealed that she had worked with Princess Beatrice, who was in the young Victoria with her because her mother, the Duchess of York, had produced the movie, adding that she had met a couple of royals.
Emily Blunt addressed the “calling out waitress enormous” incident in a resurfaced interview
The actress has been called out by the public after her 2012 interview on The Jonathan Ross Show resurfaced online in which she referred to a Chili’s waitress as enormous.
Blunt said in the interview, “The girl who was serving me was enormous. I think she got freebie meals at Chili’s.” And Jonathan Ross chimed in to say that there is nothing wrong with that, as he had mentioned before, that when people go to Chili’s they can see why so many of their American friends are enormous.
The public was quick to label the actress as fatphobic, adding that comments like these from her were not expected by where they were. The actress has since then shared in a statement with Page Six that her jaw was on the floor when she saw the video. She said,
“I’m appalled that I would say something so insensitive, hurtful and unrelated to whatever story I was trying to tell on a talk show. I’ve always considered myself someone who wouldn’t dream of upsetting anyone, so whatever possessed me to say anything like that at that moment is unrecognizable to me or anything I stand for. And yet it happened, and I said it.”
The actress apologized for any hurt that her comments might have caused and acknowledged that she was old enough to know better at the time.

Emily Blunt to reunite with Dwayne Johnson for an upcoming movie?
According to reports by Digital Spy, actress Dwayne Johnson will be starring in Amazon’s upcoming movie Kate Warne. However, due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, the actress is not confirmed to play the part.
The movie is an action-thriller, which will center around Warne, a real-life Sherlock Holmes who is also the first female detective at the US detective agency Pinktertone Agency and manages to make a way for women in law enforcement.
Kate Warne is said to be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra with a script penned down by Melissa Stack. The actress, however, recently appeared in Pain Hustlers alongside Chris Evans, which will soon be available to stream on Netflix. The actress is also taking a break from acting to spend more time with her family.
