Although Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End won the prestigious Kodansha Manga Award 2024 in the Shonen Category, it still lost to Jujutsu Kaisen when it came to manga sales. This success of Jujutsu Kaisen can be attributed to the large fandom that the manga series enjoys in comparison to Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End‘s modest but dedicated fanbase.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End winning the Kodansha Manga Award after beating series like One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen is a testament to the fact that although small, its fandom is supportive and dedicated. So, in a way, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has left its mark on its readers.
