The latest video for Marvel Studios’ The Eternals has sparked a debate on social media, with many fans believing the unveiled Celestial is none other than Galactus. Some fans believe that The Eternals will reveal The Devourer of Worlds because of the highlighted Celestial. While many Marvel fans were no doubt swept up in the trailer’s excitement, many have pointed out that the creature does not resemble Galactus. The six eyes on the character’s headpiece, as well as the red tint on his armour, show little similarity to Galactus’ famous purple and blue colour scheme.

Of course, being the beast that it is, social media users began to point out that the Celestial isn’t truly Galactus. Many theorised that the massive monster is Eson the Searcher, who was originally seen as one of the earliest wielders of the Power Stone in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. While the resemblance is undeniable, official merchandising identifies the Celestial as Arishem The Judge. Some fans rushed to Twitter to express their displeasure with the error.
