The 2012 Batman flick The Dark Knight Rises outlined the evil Bane’s plans to wreak havoc in Gotham City and defeat Bruce Wayne aka Batman. In the movie, Bane lures police officers and Batman underground to trap them there so that they cannot stop his evil plans. The superhit movie grossed over $1.085 billion at the box office.

Directed by Christopher Nolan, the movie features Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman in lead roles. People took no time to post their hilarious reactions to a news piece that outlined a similar incident that took place in New York City where the police officers were forced to make their way underground only to find an intricate tunnel route dug by Jewish men. The posts on X were endless from people asking for Batman to emerge and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to protect their homes and exact justice. Some even labelled the situation to be a simulation given the ultra-advanced world we live in.

Just imagining what would happen if New York becomes like Gotham City is bone-chilling. The entire city will go to purge, that is to include more crimes than those that take place daily in the city. At the same time, it seems like all such dystopian mess happens in New York City right from Loki’s alien attack to King Kong and Godzilla’s destruction. The city seems to attract all the headline-worthy happenings.

In recent news, the New York Police Department found a series of tunnels under the Jewish site Chabad-Lubavitch in Crown Heights. The search led officers down the tunnels where the route seemed pretty planned, being there since the pandemic.

On Tuesday, officers closed the synagogue to inspect the underground tunnels which was not taken very well by the worshippers. The worshippers protested and the scene turned violent as the police tried to control the situation.
