Fast and Furious Actress Reportedly Inches Away from Stealing Marvel Role from Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie and Adam Driver were reportedly offered to portray Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Fantastic Four. But multiple insiders have confirmed the news of their exit from the roles which has also brought great disappointments for the fans. The film has been continuously facing a series of delays and bottlenecks. After the failure of the previous movies, Marvel knows that it needs to get the Fantastic Four casting right but the complications do not seem to give them any sense of relief.
Marvel Studios Faces Another Setback In The Making Of Fantastic Four
Marvel’s Fantastic Four continues to be surrounded by hurdles as it is reported currently that the flick now doesn’t have a cast. Though there have been no official announcements made by the MCU, earlier it was reported that Adam Driver has been cast as Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards — well that’s apparently not happening anymore.
Similarly, another A-listed actress who will be quitting the rumored star cast of the film is our new Barbie, Margot Robbie who was initially supposed to play the role of Invisible Woman, Sue Storm in the awaited MCU film, Fantastic Four. This also means that the Marvel Studios has backed out from making an SDCC appearance so they are in no rush for the casting process.
It was also speculated that the role of Sue Storm was also initially offered to actress Emma Stone, but she turned down the role. Well, while there could be end number of reasons as to why the departures occurred, one of the probable reasons is because of money as Marvel doesn’t want to pay out the big bucks. Marvel Studios also announced a list of new release dates which includes delaying Fantastic Four back by another three months from February 14, 2025, to May 14, 2025.
Fast And Furious Actress Replaces Margot Robbie in Fantastic Four
In a shocking turn of events, Marvel’s upcoming project Fantastic Four has undergone major cast alterations. Based on insider sources, Margot Robbie was earlier confirmed to be playing the role of The Invisible Woman, Sue Storm in Fantastic Four but according to the latest updates, Barbie star, Margot Robbie is no longer attached to Fantastic Four. The next important question bothering all MCU fans is who will be the new Sue Storm?
Along with Margot Robbie, there were other actresses, on the shortlist to play Sue Storm and one of them was The Crown and Mission: Impossible‘s Vanessa Kirby. While talking to ComicBook.com, Vanessa Kirby only had one short response to the Fantastic Four casting news, “It would be an honor,” confirming that both she and another MCU actress are aware of Fantastic Four chatter.
Other than Netflix’s The Crown and Tom Cruise’s ongoing Mission: Impossible franchise, Vanessa Kirby also appeared in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and she’s set to star in Ridley Scott’s Napoleon later this year. While Kirby’s reply was tight-lipped, it certainly wasn’t a denial. With Currently Margot Robbie being turned down for the role it’s further evidence that she is, in fact, on that Fantastic Four shortlist, and possibly even set to play Sue Storm already.
