Jason Momoa to star as Lobo in DCU’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow
According to reports by Deadline, Aquaman actor Jason Momoa is all set to play the character of Lobo in Milly Alcock’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The character of Lobo was created by writer Roger Slifer and artist Keith Giffen and was introduced in Omega Men #3 in 1983.
The publication mentioned that the actor had wanted to play the character for a very long time, and had expressed his interest in playing Lobo during his press tour for The Lost Kingdom. Jason Momoa later shared on his social media,
I collect comics, and I don’t do so much anymore, but Lobo was always my favorite, and I always wanted to play Lobo, because I’m like, ‘Hello? It’s the perfect role.
Lobo is known as an anti-hero who has violent and irreverent personality. He possesses superhuman strength, regenerative abilities, and an invulnerability that makes him a formidable opponent. The character is often seen as a bounty hunter who enjoys chaos and destruction.
It was also noted that Momoa’s character Lobo is not the first time the comic book character has been adapted for live-action.
