She has played Yelena Belova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Black Widow. In every one of her movies, she appears to be at the top of her game when it comes to her physique. However, unlike most celebrities, she is not afraid of food. She makes healthy eating and living about fun and not about vanity. To her, the main element of her diet and workout is balance. If she gorges on cheese boards, she also makes sure to eat her veggies. She focuses more on her physical stamina than whether she will look a certain way. Without further ado, here are 5 essentials of her diet and workout routine.

Florence Pugh believes in the best nutritional advice of all time, which is to do everything in moderation. According to Health Yogi, the 28-year-old sticks to a basic diet of a breakfast that consists of egg whites and fruit, porridge, or toast, and a lunch consisting of a salad full of fresh veggies. For dinner, she likes to have a healthy combination of protein and vegetables but often opts for an indulgent meal of sushi.

She has no intention of ignoring her snack cravings or starving herself for a long period of time. She has a sweet tooth that she satiates with a bar of dark chocolate. She also believes in eating every few hours to keep herself energized, but she stays away from heavily processed food like a plague.

She even declined to have a certain physique in preparation for Black Widow and did not want her meals to be monitored like those of her castmates. Speaking to Elle Canada, she said,

“That was a big deal for me. [I] didn’t want to be part of something where I was constantly checked on and people were making sure I was in the ‘right’ shape. That’s not me at all.”

“As soon as we got the roles, [director] Stephen [Merchant] mentioned he wanted us to do as much wrestling as we could. We would have stunt doubles, but he wanted to get us in the ring so we needed to get really strong. We were assigned CrossFit trainers, and it was a month of intense squatting and eating as many protein bars as possible. And wrestling 24/7. My trainer had a gym in Oxfordshire, which is where I was based at the time. I still train with my guy because I actually got ready with him for The Little Drummer Girl. It’s brought a lot of skills to the surface.”
