3 Game of Thrones Characters That Made It to the List of the Most Hated Consistencies of All Time
Game of Thrones is adapted from the famous fantasy novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire by Geroge R. R. Martin. The name of the series comes from the first novel of this series, A Game of Thrones. The show is set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, and the first story arc sees noble families fighting to claim the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
Although the series was frequently criticized for its use of nudity and violence, it was received well by critics and audiences alike, particularly in the first six seasons as the final season was criticized for its creative decisions and diminished length. In fact, many viewers were dissatisfied by the conclusion of the series.
While Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) are some of the most beloved characters of Game of Thrones, Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson), Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon), and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) have managed to occupy the first, second and fifth positions respectively in the list of the most hated characters of all time according to the voters on the poll website named Ranker.
That being said, it cannot be denied that Game of Thrones will continue to be one of the greatest shows to have been ever made considering its popularity even after nearly four years of its ending.
Game of Thrones Fans Have Plenty of Content Coming Up
After the mind-boggling success of Game of Thrones, HBO was obviously reluctant to let go of a show that could get its viewership as big as this show. Fans’ undying love for the world created by George R. R. Martin was what sealed the deal for HBO which is now working on several spin-off shows.
House of the Dragon was the first big spin-off series that managed to hit the screens and now while fans wait for its second season, HBO’s CEO Casey Boleyn’s words are probably all the assurance fans need, as he told TV Line:
“We always have Game of Thrones scripts in development. We greenlit Dunk and Egg in the spring. I wouldn’t say there is anything else in that world that is close to a green light or anything, but we are always working on different scripts and ideas.”
Although the highly anticipated Jon Snow series has been canceled, fans need not worry as a lot is in store for them. In the meanwhile, they can hate on the villains that are already there while HBO creates new ones.
