Scottish actor Rory McCann is most popularly known for his role as Sandor ‘The Hound’ Clegane in the popular HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin’s novel series A Song of Ice and Fire. He starred in 7 out of the 8 seasons of the show as he was not there in the fifth season.
The show concluded in 2019 and that same year, McCann appeared in Jumanji: the Next Level, the sequel to the fan-favorite action-comedy Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. In the movie, he is a supporting actor called Jurgen The Brutal who momentarily beats Dwayne Johnson’s Dr. Smolder Bravestone. The scenes leading up to it are rather comedic and the fight between them is enough to send adrenaline rushing through the viewers’ veins.
Rory McCann beat Dwayne Johnson of all people in 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level
In Jumanji: The Next Level, Robert McCann is seen as Jurgen The Brutal. He is the owner of the Falcon Heart necklace which as you might have already guessed Dwayne Johnson‘s Dr. Bravestone and his team wanted so that they could save the game. The only problem is that Jurgen is not willing to give it away that easily.
When Dr. Bravestone enters the scene, he easily smashes the heads of two members of Jurgen’s team and pushes them away. However, things are not that simple when it comes to Jurgen who is towering over Dr. Bravestone by at least a couple of inches and is visibly mightier than him.
Consequently, he is unbothered by the multiple punches Dr. Bravestone throws at him. Then, he grabs Dr. Bravestone by the neck and hurls him across the room. Dr. Bravestone crashes into a series of stone pillars, the impact cracking the structures and leaving him momentarily stunned before he sits up and takes out the Jumanji Berry which happens to be Jurgen’s weakness. As soon as Jurgen sees it, he tries to flee away in his airship.
His attempt at doing so is in vain as Dr. Bravestone manages to get on the airship after some difficulty. Dr. Bravestone is still taking in the ship when Jurgen kicks him from behind which sends the doctor sliding across the ship’s metal floor. Before Jurgen can attack him with his sword, the ship collides with a tower damaging a huge part of it.
Jurgen then demands to know Johnson’s character’s identity and swings his sword at him. Dr. Bravestone dodges the blow and smashes the Jumanji Berry on Jurgen’s armor which incapacitates him for long enough for Dr. Bravestone to steal the necklace and ultimately defeat Jurgen.
