Gerard Pique Annoyed With Ex-Girlfriend Shakira After Her Recent Trip to Dubai
In a recent Instagram post, Shakira made it quite clear that she and Gerard Pique celebrated their Christmas separately this year. The singer enjoyed her warm Christmas this year despite having the snowy one with her kids in Dubai. This was their children’s first time away from their father this holiday season. There is no doubt that Shakira is in a good holiday spirit with her children, while the former soccer player is relaxing with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
Even though Shakira and her former partner, Gerard Pique, allegedly already have an arrangement for custody of their children, Milan and Sasha. As the couple laid out in their separation agreement, signed last December 1 in a Barcelona court, a new problem appears to loom between them before the singer and her children move to Miami, which is quite annoying for the former soccer player.
Gerard Pique’s Dilemma For His Kids
According to their custody agreement, Shakira, the mother of two, can take the kids out of town until a specific date. The rumor mill is swirling that her Dubai trip caused tension for her ex-partner, Gerard Pique because the trip was a shocker for him. As part of the agreement, Pique will be able to visit his children for ten days a month whenever he wishes since he will be able to use their vacation time when the children are on school holidays.
Shakira’s Dubai trip reportedly will end soon as she arrived last Wednesday and could stay until December 30, the date agreed on to deliver the children to their father on New Year’s Eve. There is a question, however, as to whether or not Pique has given his consent to this trip. Pique, according to the podcast Mamarazzis hosted by Laura Fa and Lorena Vazquez, is not happy to spend less than a week with his children before they move to Miami on next January 5.

“If the children start the course on the 5th, Pique loses time to be with them, so either they are delivered to him earlier, or they start classes beyond the North American calendar.”
Reports have claimed that the ex-couples were at odds over when their boys, Milan and Sasha, would leave Barcelona and move to Miami.
Gerard Pique May Celebrate New Year With Kids
For the first time, the children will not spend Christmas with their father, Gerard Pique, but they expect to spend New Year’s with him. It is reported that the kids will be reaching their father’s place by New Year’s Eve. According to reports, the footballer is eager to delay the move or wants them to get to Barcelona earlier because he wants to spend more time in Barcelona with his children.
Reports indicated that the former footballer wants to keep his children with him until the Three Wise Men holiday, which will fall on the 6th of January, 2023, is a US holiday. As a result of the complicated dates, both parties’ lawyers are seeking a prompt solution where the former partners can reach a middle ground.
Looking at the problem, there is the assumption that Shakira and her children will spend fewer days in Dubai to return sooner to Barcelona and spend more time with the Pique; however, Shakira is chilling in Dubai’s desert, looking for serenity.
