Gerard Pique Forced to Suffer “Painful Sacrifice” to Save His Kids from Traumatic Experience As Shakira Wins Legal Battle
Shakira and Gerard Pique have been in continuous media attention amid the separation that made things quite difficult for them. Their split came with lots of drama that went on for months. While the former was busy taking care of her kids amid many other things, Pique was engaged in dating his younger beau, Clara Chia Marti. However, the tables are now turning and the final win seems to have fallen on the former’s side.
The former couple after months of a long-standing dispute regarding the custody of their two children, Milan and Sasha has finally agreed on a custody arrangement to avoid an ugly court fight.
Shakira and Gerard Pique Have Reportedly Come to An Agreement Regarding Their Children
The 45-year-old singer Shakira and former football player, Gerard Pique were engaged in a conversation to discuss their long-standing dispute which stretched their separation quite longer. They reportedly wanted to avoid the ugly lawsuit that could have sought much more attention that the former pair already in.
The former pair got into a conversation in the summit meeting with lawyers that was initiated amid ongoing attempts to reach an out-of-court settlement. The meeting started on Monday afternoon at their former family home in Esplugues de Llobregat on the outskirts of Barcelona.
The negotiations that went on until the early hours of this morning were described as “intense” by the Catalan daily El Periodico. The negotiations are finally done with the custody reportedly going in favor of Shakira.
Shakira to Move With Kids in Early 2023
As per the reports, Pique gave up his custody rights to the singer as the latter will be taking her kids to her planned location, Miami after Christmas. The reports also shared that the former Barcelona defender will get visitation rights to see his kids whenever he wants.
The agreement happened “after 12 hours of negotiation” with the outlet stating, “Milan and Sasha will go with Shakira to Miami.”
The reports also stated, “The children will spend Christmas in Barcelona but as soon as 2023 begins, the footballer will say goodbye and assume a painful sacrifice so that the youngsters don’t experience an even more traumatic separation between their parents.”
“He will be able to cross the Atlantic Ocean to see them whenever he wants. The costs will be borne by both of them.”
The former sports star initially wanted his kids to stay with him in Barcelona however the singer wanted to start afresh with her kids in the U.S. They announced their split back in June this year without stating the reasons behind their split.
However, many reports claimed that the separation happened as Pique cheated on the singer with a younger woman. Soon after their split, he was spotted with his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.
