Perry has been serving as a judge on the singing competition TV series American Idol since 2018. In a recent episode of the show, the Roar singer is seen wearing a metallic top. She posted snaps of herself in the outfit on her Instagram and Bloom couldn’t help teasing her about it. He compared the top to a cooking utensil. The comment read:
“Glad I could bend that frying pan with my bare hands for you baby.”
The Dark Horse singer didn’t hold herself back either as she teased him back, writing:
“@orlandobloom wow good one and I didn’t even write it this time.”
Actor Alexander James Rodriguez also decided to join in on the fun as he commented:
“@orlandobloom hehe let’s hope it’s not bent around your ear later!!”
Fans loved seeing the couple joking with each other on the post and also showered praise on Perry.
Katy Perry’s Top Broke Off During a Performance
Wardrobe malfunctions are not uncommon when it comes to high fashion. There have been numerous occasions on which celebrities have unfortunately become victims of a malfunction publicly. Perry stood no exception as her top broke during Roman Collins’ emphatic rendition of James Brown’s It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World.
The Teenage Dream singer shared a clip of the mishap on Instagram in which she makes light of the situation, saying:
“That song… um… broke my top off… I guess it is a woman’s world!”
The showrunners and even fellow judge Luke Bryan started trying to keep the top intact. Perry is seen keeping the top from falling off with her arms and clutching a couch pillow close to her chest at the end of the clip.
