Iwuji became more known for his character High Evolutionary. The actor secured his character before acting in front of the camera. He also called his character a sadist. While talking about High Evolutionary Iwuji said,

“I don’t believe that you have to defend your character. He’s sadistic. His way of thinking has led us to some of the most terrible periods in our history and in humanity. People who think they know the right answer, people who want to cleanse, people who think they want to find perfection.”

He further added,

“So I cannot defend him, but I can defend playing him, because it was a gift of a role for an actor.”

Even Iwuji wants to make a comeback as High Evolutionary in a possible Guardians of the Galaxy movie in the future. The 48-year-old actor said,

“I still hold out hope that there might be more for him in the future. They could have a Continental in Africa. That’s what I actually thought at the time because Akoni is the head of the African cartel. But I’ve always hoped that they kept me alive for a reason. So I need to get on Chad Stahelski’s case for that one.”

The actor said it was a joy to play the role although the character had some negative effects on him as well. He was very well immersed in the character and that is why High Evolutionary looked so well on the big screen as a villain.
