Gwyneth Paltrow May Return To MCU, But Only For Robert Downey Jr
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow claims that the forthcoming Avengers: Endgame will see her suiting up for the last time for the MCU. Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts revealed that she’d return if Robert Downey Jr. needs her.

Gwyneth Paltrow joined MCU with Jon Favreau’s Iron Man in 2008. After this, her role expanded to Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3 and The Avengers. Pepper Potts was absent from Avengers: Age of Ultron. While many theorists claimed that she’s been murdered off screen, Paltrow came up in a surprise cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Gwyneth Paltrow even appeared briefly in Avengers: Infinity War.
Will Pepper Potts Return?
However, Gwyneth Paltrow’s exit leaves fans to wonder about Tony and Pepper’s fate. With the duo planning for a wedding and possibly a baby, it would be odd for Pepper to leave Iron Man. This leaves us with the possibility that the two will go happily into the sunset, or the tragic idea that Tony gets killed in Avengers: Endgame.

Despite Chris Evans’ statement that he’s done with MCU post Endgame, Downey’s future with the franchise seems more mysterious. Fans have speculated that Iron Man will die in Endgame, thanks to his absence from Spider-Man: Far From Home. That being said, Pepper’s promise to be there Tony whenever he needs her suggests that Tony may survive Endgame.
All questions will be answered when Avengers: Endgame hits the theaters on April 27.
