Could it be possibly Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark aka Iron Man? A recent Avengers Endgame fan theory shared by /u/alexandrepigeot feel the same. It says that Iron Man may end up dying 14 million times during the course of Avengers: Endgame.

The theory is based on the fact that upon his death in the Decimation, Dr. Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch placed Iron Man/Tony Stark in a time loop in order for him to witness the 14 million futures ahead of him. This is similar to what Strange did in 2016’s Doctor Strange. The time loop would have also given Stark a lot of time to perfect his craft midst space.

Although we don’t have anything concrete to prove the theory, some clout initially appeared in the trailer last December. As the theory states, while Stark is recording his dying declaration, he appears way too relaxed for someone who’s about to die. He does seem depressed though.

As we have witnessed in the MCU so far over the last decade, Stark is nothing if he isn’t an innovator. Stark built his first Iron Man suit inside a cave using scraps and designs fresh armour in each film to battle a new villain.

The theory suggests that due to his message to Pepper Potts, Stark has been living this moment all over again and his coming to his wit’s end with Groundhogs Day effect.
