HBO Max’s Peacemaker: First Clip Starring John Cena IS HERE!
HBO Max has just released a new clip giving us a first look at the upcoming series Peacemaker written and directed by James Gunn.
The pet Eagle of Peacemaker is set to make his appearance in the upcoming HBO series
The series is the spin out of the events of The Suicide Squad which teams up John Cena’s Peacemaker up with a group of ARGUS agents who are now on Amanda Waller’s bad side after the events of the film.
Going against all the odds, Peacemaker has somehow managed to survive the injuries he had gotten thanks to Bloodsport. However, he is back in action and has the same kind of self-importance as ever. In the clip released by HBO, fans get a look at the extended version of the quip that appeared in the previous promotional spot, in which the Peacemaker was questioned about wearing his costume to dinner to which he responded by explaining that it was a uniform and not a costume.
His pet bald eagle, Eagly has also made an appearance and absolutely sounds like a Silver Age comics thing.

When the series was announced, James Gunn said, ” Peacemaker is an opportunity to delve into current world issues through the lens of this superhero/supervillain/and world’s biggest douchebag,” he went on to add that ” I’m excited to expand The Suicide Squad and bring this character from the DC film universe to the full breadth of a series. And of course, to be able to work again with John, Peter, and my friends at Warner Bros. is the icing on the cake.”
John Cena said, ” I am unbelievably excited to have the chance to team up with him again for Peacemaker. We can’t wait for fans to see this.”
Peacemaker is set to arrive on HBO Max in January with 8 episodes in total! James Gunn has hinted that The Suicide Squad fans can expect quite a lot from this next chapter of the franchise. Gunn has further added that Peacemaker and his teams will be “black ops combating something catastrophic that’s facing the planet.”
