In his 23-year NFL career, quarterback Tom Brady has had the pleasure of playing with the football tight end, Rob Gronkowski, on both the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers teams. Several people consider Gronkowski to be Tom Brady’s best teammate. There have been rumors that if the seven-time winner returns for one more year, it will be with Gronkowski.
In the recent episode of Brady’s SiriusXM podcast, Let’s Go! With Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Rob Gronkowski made an appearance along with the quarterback. During their discussion, Gronkowski did not miss an opportunity to poke fun at his friend-teammate at one point. In a surprise move, the football tight end Gronkowski suggested that Brady should go out with 80 for Brady co-star Sally Field.
Gronkowski said during the podcast,
“You know, I was wondering too, Tom, have you been considering dating Sally Field after that Oscar-worthy performance or what?”
Brady quipped,
“I appreciate that. We did have kind of an uh on camera little uh you know thing going, so it was actually nice we really enjoyed our time together, so we’ll see where it goes from here.”
During Gronkowski’s interview with PEOPLE, he said,
“He had no clue that I was going to come at him like that when I was on his podcast. Obviously, I was just messing around, poking some fun at him.”
However, he also revealed that Brady was funny throughout the conversation. Brady also teased him during the podcast by making him think of him in a steamy scene with co-star Jane Fonda in the film 80 for Brady.
Brady said,
“I think you and Jane Fonda had a good scene too, which I was a little…that was really spicy. I was excited to see it. So I think all the fans of Gronk are gonna be excited, and all the Jane Fonda fans, they’re gonna love seeing that.”

In addition, TB12 has come through despite all the negativity surrounding his 23rd NFL season, which at one point appeared to have affected his performance.
