“He literally hosts a podcast”: Logan Paul Gets Blasted Online for Bashing Oppenheimer for ‘Only Dialogues’, Reveals He Walked Out of Screener Within Minutes
Christopher Nolan went to pretty extreme lengths to transform words from the 2005 biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer titled American Prometheus into the feature film titled Oppenheimer.
From using the latest IMAX technology to film the entire movie to ditching the use of CGI to amplify the realism in the replication of the Trinity Test, Nolan stepped up his efforts to deliver a masterpiece.
Similarly, Cillian Murphy, the lead face of the star-studded movie, underwent drastic dietary changes to appear like the Father of the Atomic Bomb.
Logan Paul Annoys Oppenheimer Fans With His Comments
Christopher Nolan and Cillian Murphy’s efforts paid dividends and the movie has proven to be a huge hit. Despite Barbie mania, Oppenheimer has managed to gross over $700 million in worldwide collection so far.
It has also received very kind words from moviegoers and reviewers. Meanwhile, some fans have even taken the initiative of nominating Murphy as well as the movie’s antagonist Robert Downey Jr. for the Oscar next award season.
However, as always, a movie of this size attracts some negative comments as well. In that regard, WWE star Logan Paul stepped up to make the news with his surprising opinion.
During an episode of his podcast, ImPaulsive, Paul revealed he walked out of the theater, suggesting the movie failed to capture his interest for long. In a back-and-forth with Aussie filmmaker brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, he said:
“I walked out of Oppenheimer. I didn’t know what they were trying [to do]. ‘What are you doing?’ Everyone’s just talking. It’s just an hour and a half, 90 minutes, of talking, just talking, talking. It’s all exposition. Nothing happened.”
Paul’s review irked a lot of Oppenheimer and Nolan fans. And some of them chose to remind him about his work – podcasting – which is literally just talking.
doesn’t he literally host a podcast where it’s sole existence is just to talk

Yeah it’s true cinema and not a Marvel, rollercoaster, action movie.

I mean fair enough I suppose. Not everyone is into these types of films and that’s fine. He tried it, couldn’t get into it and left

If Logan Paul didn’t like the movie, that’s a pretty big compliment towards the movie lol

TikTok has ruined people’s attention span

Understandably, some fans might not like the movie that is based around a theoretical physicist. In the era of Marvel-DC superheroes and TikTok-Instagram reels, there are plenty of people who fancy either watching epic proportions of action sequences in theaters or a quick dose of a 30-second long tale on their phones.
Why Did Christopher Nolan Make Oppenheimer?
There’s a good chance the Tenet director made Oppenheimer knowing not everyone is going to understand his movie. But from the very beginning, he knew how important his project and the man at the center of it all was.
Nolan got engrossed in Oppenheimer’s personality and life after reading his speeches (thank Robert Pattinson for that) and in the production notes he says: “Like it or not, J. Robert Oppenheimer is the most important person who ever lived.”
He was even very particular about how his audience should consume the movie, suggesting it is best viewed in specific IMAX seats.
The 53-year-old ended up delivering an excellent movie that doesn’t just try to dive into the psyche of the mind which introduced the world to the nuclear bomb and forever altered the course of modern history, but also explores the consequences of relentless pursuit. And all that happens through the “talking” between Murphy and his co-stars.
