However, recent claims by insiders on the sets of Red One reveal an alleged flip side of the wrestler-turned-actor that threatens to unravel his perfect image. The sources informed TheWrap that Johnson is allegedly consistently late on set, sometimes even delaying the production schedule by eight hours as the crew waits for the actor to arrive. Another source close to Johnson claimed,

“On set, away from his trailer, if he needs to pee, he doesn’t go to the public bathroom. He pees in a Voss water bottle and his team or a PA has to dispose of it.”

Amazon MGM, the studio producing the movie has shut down these claims and stated that the delay in the movie’s release is not because of Johnson as he has been a constant support on the film set. The studio even shut down any rumors regarding the movie budget inflating to over $250 million. At the same time, this is not the first time we have heard murmurs of Johnson’s lateness to set.

The movie was set to release last year around Christmas, however, the strikes delayed production. Recent news of Johnson’s lateness to the set might also have contributed to the delay in production.
