Henry Cavill Hates Filming S*x Scenes for 1 Reason That Might Upset His Massive Female Audience in the Future
Henry Cavill’s Argylle is already out in the theatres now. The Matthew Vaughn-directed meta spy drama focuses on an introverted novelist who ends up falling into a mess after realizing that her new spy novel is similar with respect to real-life events around the world. The Man Of Steel actor received praise from his fans for playing the role of Agent Argylle.
Recently, Henry Cavill spoke about intimate scenes and even mentioned why he hates filming them.
Henry Cavill Talks About Why He Dislikes Filming S*x Scenes
Henry Cavill is one of the most good-looking actors in Hollywood. His massive fan following quite evidently proves his larger-than-life celebrity status. However, the actor is not at all a fan of s*x scenes. In a recent episode of the widely watched chat show Happy, Sad, Confused the British actor mentioned that it is always better not to show the intimate scenes in a movie or a show and leave it to the audience to fill it up with their own imagination. Cavill said-
“I don’t understand them – I’m not a fan. There are circumstances where a sex scene actually is beneficial to a movie, rather than just the audience, but I think sometimes they’re overused these days.”
While talking about performing intimate scenes, he said-
“It’s when you have a sense where you’re going, ‘Is this really necessary or is it just people with less clothing on? And that’s when you start to get more uncomfortable and you’re thinking, ‘There’s not a performance here. There’s not a piece which is going to carry through to the rest of the movie’.”
Cavill believes that intimate scenes are an important part of storytelling, but showrunners and filmmakers should leave and give the viewers a chance to fill in with their imagination. He further mentioned-
“Okay, but what is this doing for us apart from the idea of, “Oh naked person, great. [I’m] not a fan of doing them,”
However, there is no s*x scene in Argylle. The movie has reputed actors on board including Henry Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, and Sam Rockwell.
Henry Cavill On The Possibility Of Argylle Sequel
During a recent interview with the famous media outlet Variety, Henry Cavill and Sam Rockwell were present for the promotion of the Matthew Vaughn-directed Argylle. Both the actors spoke about the meta spy drama and even hinted towards the upcoming sequel of Argylle. Sam Rockwell who plays the character of Agent Aiden in the meta-spy drama, said-
“I guess we just want to see how it does, it all depends on whether the audience likes what we’ve done.”
The Enola Holmes actor further added-
“If Matthew comes calling, I’d certainly say yes,”
While talking about how Argylle stands out in the list of spy dramas, Cavill even mentioned-
“While it takes advantage of super spy tropes and dials them up to 11, it’s a different sort of thing. Although Argylle obviously takes himself seriously due to the nature of his existence, the movie and the tone of the movie doesn’t, so it’s quite a different approach to a character like that.”
Henry Cavill would be seen in The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare. The Guy Ritchie project revolves around a group of experts who are on a mission to defeat the Nazis during the Second World War
