“Her work ethic is just incredible”: Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Workout Routine Could Have Anyone “Throw up”, Personal Trainer Reveals
Be it with her song lyrics or tour performances, Taylor Swift never fails to inspire awe. Currently, on the highest-grossing tour in history, she continues to do so with her intensely power-packed performances. The Eras Tour performances include singing a 44-song setlist with choreography along with multiple costume changes and playing the piano and the guitar.
Needless to say, these concerts must be extremely demanding for the Grammy-winner’s body. Taking the stage for three hours, consecutive nights a week and yet Swift manages to show up with utmost enthusiasm each time. Turns out, Swift has trained her body immensely to achieve the superhuman level of energy that transcends to her fans even through a screen.
Taylor Swift’s Personal Trainer Reveals Her Intense Workout Regime
Taylor Swift is the embodiment of if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. She is nothing if not overprepared. To deliver the intensely charged performances, she trains with “the mindset like a professional athlete” revealed Kirk Myers who has been training Swift for almost a decade now.
Myers shared how Swift went all out with her gym sessions for The Eras Tour. Her workout routine is so intense that most people won’t be able to do it. As Myers told Vogue:
“It’s really hard, some people would probably throw up or have to lay down on the floor if they trained like her.”
Furthermore, Myers revealed that mostly being in a different corner of the world practically every week didn’t prevent Swift from doing her training sessions. She was consistent with her workouts and it showed in her performances. Myers revealed to Vogue:
“Taylor trained during the entire tour. We would average two times a week. In-season training was more about maintenance, and so it was more like stability, mobility, biomechanics.”
Immense talent and an unfathomable amount of hard work are probably what it takes to be Taylor Swift.
Kirk Myers Did Not Hold Back His Admiration of Taylor Swift
Myers, who founded the Dogpound Gym in both Los Angeles and New York, has worked with big names in the entertainment industry. His clientele includes Tom Holland, Kaia Gerber, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. And yet Myers will be happy to be known as “Taylor Swift’s trainer”.
Myers has not been immune to the Taylor Swift-awe effect. He praised the singer profusely in his time talking to Vogue.
“If you’ve seen the show, you know how intense it is physically. Imagine doing that three, four days in a row and then you finally have a few days off and you’re still showing up to [the] gym. That’s Taylor.”
Myers further added:
“I give her a difficult exercise or challenging workout, not only is she able to complete and push through it — but she also perseveres, moving forward into the next exercise. This ultimately makes her stronger, better, and faster. Her work ethic is just incredible.”
It is perhaps due to her work ethic, that amidst being on a world tour, Swift has released the re-recorded versions of her albums Speak Now and 1989. Not to mention her brand new album The Tortured Poets Department.
