Back in the day, Superman couldn’t fly until a new creator took over the comic. He simply assumed that Superman can fly! In the movies, Superman flies by manipulating the weaker gravity on Earth. This can be seen in the movie ‘Man Of Steel’ where before he lifts off, pebbles around his feet begin to rise in the air.
