‘He’s a threat. He’s really competitive’: Harry Styles Reportedly Major Threat to Beyonce, Adele for Grammy Race for “Album Of The Year”
Harry Styles has become one of the hottest names in the music entertainment industry, and it seems he is one of the toughest contenders among the big music names to race in the upcoming 2023 Grammys. The fifteen times Grammy winner, singer-songwriter Adele and Beyonce, the 28 times Grammy winner are both racing to the top for the Album of the Year Grammy award and Harry Styles is coming out to be a major threat to all the music stars.
2023 seems to be Beyonce’s chance of finally taking the album of the year crown, Adele thinks that Harry is her number one competition to taking that crown. Six years ago Beyonce’s “Lemonade” was predicted to win Album of the Year, but was upset by Adele’s “25.” Beyonce holds the record for being the Grammys’ most-awarded woman with 28 awards yet has only ever taken home one of the major four prizes: Song of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”. Adele, on the other hand, if her latest album wins, she’ll become just the second artist in Grammy history to win album of the year with three consecutive studio releases.
Harry Styles is the biggest competition to both Adele and Beyonce, says Recording Academy member
So far this year, “Harry’s House” was the biggest album for any artist to have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. Harry Styles‘ latest album was a massive hit and is still going strong, which debuted with 521,000 equivalent album units.
Recording Academy member Chris Anokute has a strong intuition that the “As it was” singer, Harry Styles is on ‘equal footing’ with Adele and Beyonce in the Grammy race for Album Of The Year. “Multiple singles, multiple hits, consistent touring … he’s a threat. He’s really competitive, to me”, he says. With fans totally adoring Harry Styles’ new album, this does seem true.
Beyonce’s newly-released album Renaissance has the potential to win the Grammy
The pop sensational queen Beyonce released her new album Renaissance this July, and guess what, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making her the first woman to have all seven of her solo studio albums debut at the top spot. The album was warmly welcomed by critics and this fact modified Grammy predictions for Beyonce’s new album.
Beyonce’s album debuted with 332,000 equivalent album units, including sales and streams of the work, in the week ending August 4, according to Spotify. That’s a huge number. All 16 songs from Renaissance landed on the Billboard Hot 100, with 10 in the top 50. One of the freshest albums to drop this year, Beyonce’s “Renaissance” is a huge force to reckon with on the already-tight pack and could definitely win in the Album of the Year category for the next year’s Grammy Awards.
Adele is also in line to make history at the Grammys
Adele previously won the Album of the Year award for her famous albums, 21 and 25. Her three consecutive studio albums have been released over the course of 12 Grammy years, and up to date, she has won 15 grammy awards. If her latest album, 30, wins, she’ll become the second artist in Grammy history to win album of the year with three consecutive studio releases after Stevie Wonder.
In the 2017 Grammys, the British superstar’s blockbuster hit “Hello” beat Beyoncé’s socially conscious “Formation” for record and song of the year. “Hello” also topped “Hold Up,” the third single from Beyoncé’s Lemonade album, for best pop solo performance. Finally, 25 bested Lemonade for album of the year. And the situation is hot for Adele this time too. Possibly, Adele’s latest album, 30 could again take over Beyonce’s latest released album to repeat history.
