There is no doubt that fans all over the world are excited for Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) to take up the mantle of the New Captain America. Mackie is returning to the MCU with the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. So much has been happening for Anthony Mackie as he prepares for his upcoming MCU film Captain America: Brave New World. The actor got into a car crash only a few weeks ago in May this year but luckily there was no serious injury involved. Apart from this event, Mackie has been concentrating on his acting career with two upcoming projects.

A comedy series Twisted Metal slated for July release and the much-anticipated MCU’s Captain America 4 where he is going to take up the mantle of Chris Evan’s superhero. Discussing this recently, he detailed the difference between his Captain America and that of Chris Evans.

There is undoubtedly a big difference considering Steve Rogers had Superhuman strength with the whole super serum experiment while Sam Wilson can only rely on his military training and his mind. Therefore according to Mackie, the new Captain will depend more on his nature to understand and encourage others through his words.

In addition, the Synchronic actor also shared his feeling about a new addition to the cast members. Hollywood icon Harrison Ford took over the role of Thunderbolt Ross after William Hurt who had been playing the character passed away last year. Working with possibly one of the biggest film stars, Mackie revealed his feeling by praising the 80-year-old veteran saying,

“But he dispels that really quickly because he’s such a cool guy. He’s everything a movie star should be”

In addition to this, there has also been a change in the director as Julius Onah stepped in to take on the film. And according to Mackie, he has formed a good understanding with Onah as to his grasp of the character and the storyline.

Moreover, he is also the primary protagonist of the spin-off Disney + series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier alongside Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes.

Now 4th Film in the Captain America franchise will mark Mackie’s return to the MCU world. According to the actor, the story picks up from the spin-off series pretty much. The Falcon/Sam Wilson is still questioning his place in the superhero world and taking up the title that Steve Rogers left him with.
