Record producer Irv Gotti and 50 Cent’s feud dates back to 1999 with the infamous robbery of Ja Rule by one of 50 Cent’s associates in Queens. According to XXL, the incident led to tension between Cent and Gotti because Ja Rule was an artist under Gotti’s label Murder Inc. This led to 50 Cent releasing a song, Your Life’s On the Line, in which he dissed Ja Rule and Murder Inc.

As the tension and hostility between the two grew, Cent was soon to be known for his sharp, unapologetic approach toward his feuds. He often uses social media to mock the people he does not get along with. Irv Gotti is also not someone who’d back down, as he appeared in interviews and music videos to defend his label and the artists.

Over the years, their feud has been a subject of discussion as they kept throwing jabs at each other in various ways. In 2000, 50 Cent was shot nine times while sitting in front of his grandmother’s house in Queens. It was later revealed that the one who shot him was a drug lord, Kenneth ‘Supreme’ McGriff, and members of Murder Inc. They were never charged for the shooting, but the situation became worse between Cent and Irv Gotti.

In 2024, when it was revealed that Irv Gotti had a stroke and was walking with a cane, 50 Cent took the opportunity to mock him by sharing his picture on social media and writing,

Damn homie, in high school you were the man homie, WTF happened to you? I want Irv to get well so he can have to watch my next wave.

Very recently, Gotti suffered another stroke after battling health problems. 50 Cent shared a screenshot of the headline that read, ‘Irv Gotti on life support, friend and family saying their goodbyes.’ He captioned the post, ‘Damn, I wanted him to see my new shoes, yo!’

Fans were disappointed with 50 Cent mocking the record producer who is battling with his health.
