With Halle Bailey as the beloved Disney princess Ariel, the movie has been produced with a total budget of 250 million dollars.
As for its opening box-office collection, the film managed to earn around 48 million dollars since its release two days ago on the 26th of May. And according to reports Bailey has received millions of dollars for the role and the biggest amount among all of her cast members.

With the release of Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid recently, it was able to make 38 million dollars on its first day at the box office. And it has been projected to earn around 120-125 million further in the week. The movie ha has been released in 4320 theatres in total.
And with a budget of 250 million dollars, the cast has also been paid their share of earnings. Unsurprisingly Halle Bailey who plays Ariel has received the highest amount among all the cast members in the film. According to Showbiz Galore Bailey received a sum of 1.5 million dollars. And other vast members such as Melissa Mccarthy, and Jonah Hauer-King also received their share which amounts to hundreds of dollars.
The film has brought the 23-year-old actress into the spotlight and by now she has become a popular face in households. There is no denying that the live-action remake came with great excitement for fans as its trailer was the most viewed under 24 hours among all the other Disney live-actions.
Despite the initial backlash around the change in Ariel’s race, it has been able to garner a good amount of attention and praise.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid directed by Rob Marshall explores the story of the young red-headed mermaid Ariel. Due to her adventurous soul, Ariel King visits the world beyond the sea where human beings live. And with that, she comes across Prince Eric with whom she falls in love which leads her to make a deal with an evil witch named Ursula to live on land.
The reports of a live-action remake of the film had already been out back in 2016. And the following year it was confirmed that Marshall would take over the project as the director. The Little Mermaid was released on the 26th of May and is available for watching in the theatres at the moment.
