Hugh Jackman as “Wolverine” to appear with Ryan Reynolds in MCU’s Deadpool 3
One of the iconic films and characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Deadpool,” is about to release its 3rd instalment in the film franchise in the coming year. The film’s leading man, Ryan Reynolds, returns as Wade Wilson. So does Hugh Jackman as “Wolverine” in the Multiverse Saga.
We saw Jackman playing the titular role last in Logan(2017), where he suffered as his healing ability started to fail. Logan and Wade were seen together in the 2009 film “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”
Wade Wilson (played by Ryan Reynolds) is a character based on Marvel Comics whose first appearance was in 20th Century Fox’s X-men Series, and later in MCU’s Deadpool in 2016. In the upcoming project, the red hero is seen fighting with Wolverine against Sabertooth on a snowy wasteland.
On the film sets, we can see Wilson flaunting the head of Wolverine’s (Hung Jackman) rival, “Sabertooth,” as he cuts off his head while fighting against him during an action sequence.
Sabertooth and Wolverine have similar complexities and raucous relationships in the Marvel comics Universe. In many narratives, Sabertooth, whose real name is Victor Creed, is the enemy of the mutant Wolverine, and they are seen fighting against each other in the X-men franchise.
A bunch of actors will return in the upcoming Deadpool 3 as per their connection with the lead character. Morena Baccarin, who played ‘Vanessa’ Wade’s fiancee in the previous Deadpool films will return. Along with her, former cast members, including actors Leslie Uggams, Stefan Kapičić, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, and Shioli Kutsuna, are expected to return.
Other than big names Jackman and Reynolds, Jenefer Garner is expected to return with her character “Elektra” to the franchise after almost 20 years of lapse with the production. She was recently seen in the Netflix film, “Family Switch,” alongside Ed Helms, which was released last week on the streaming platform. (source: Mirror)
Far as of now, nothing is revealed about the plot except the fact that Deadpool 3 is a part of the multiverse saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time after its association of solo movies with the Fox production.
According to recent updates, Deadpool 3 is expected to be released by July 2024, and we can’t wait for the return of the Wolverine and Wade(Deadpool) to return on a big screening fighting against Sabertooth together.
