Hugh Jackman celebrated his first Christmas as a single man on 25th December 2023 after announcing his separation from ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness after 27 years of marriage back in September. The newly single actor took to his social media to share how he spent Christmas along with the little trouble he got into. He wrote,
“I highly recommend getting up really early on Christmas morning and taking a walk to see the Rockefeller Christmas tree. It’s so beautiful and not crowded at all. I did get in trouble for going beyond the barrier ut the security guard was nice and let me go with just a warning.”
The actor shared a picture of his celebration featuring huge French windows that looked outside onto a large estate with a wooden sled in the background on Instagram. A Christmas tree was decorated beautifully with gifts underneath. He wrote under the picture, “Merry Christmas Eve!” Fans were quick to wish their favorite actor underneath his post by commenting warm wishes for him, and some of them jokingly said, “He’s dressing like Ryan Reynolds now.”
Jackman kept the spirit of Christmas alive post-split, and fans were thrilled to see him embracing the holiday spirit.

Jackman and Pat Schoenfeld reportedly grew closer over the years and bonded over their love for theatre with the Wolverine actor, often referring to Schoenfeld as his ‘theatre date’. She is the widow of Gerald Schoenfeld; a famous Broadway theatre owner and producer.
The two of them were snapped having a nice meal ahead of the holidays and looked comfy in their festive attire. Jackman, who was a very close friend of Gerald Schoenfeld who passed away in 2008, has remained friends with Pat. Their outing was marked as Hugh Jackman’s first Christmas after announcing his split from his wife of 27 years; Deborra-Lee Furness.
Back in September, their separation announcement came as a surprise for everyone as they shared a statement via People,
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
The former couple mentioned that their family has always been their priority and they undertake this next chapter in their lives with gratitude, love, and kindness. The former thanked the fans and shared that they appreciate everyone understanding and respecting their privacy as they navigate this transition in their lives. Jackman is busy working on his upcoming movie Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds.
