Hugh Jackman Gets Trolled For His “Skinny Legs” After Showing Off His Wolverine Physique in New Workout Video
Australian actor Hugh Jackman rose to fame with his character portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men film series from 2000 to 2017. The actor held the Guinness World Record for longest career as a live-action Marvel character until Patrick Stewart surpassed him as Charles Xavier in 2022.
Apart from being Wolverine, Jackman has been a part of movies including Kate & Leopold, Prisoners, Les Misérables, The Greatest Showman, and more. After saying goodbye to his fan-favorite character, Jackman surprised everyone when it was announced that he’d be reprising his character Wolverine for Deadpool 3. The actor recently shared his video of gearing up for the role and was unexpectedly a victim of trolling. Let’s find out more.
Fans troll Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman for skipping leg day
Hugh Jackman who is gearing up for his highly awaited movie Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds, surprisingly became a victim of trolling after he shared a video of him working out. It is a known fact that to portray Wolverine on-screen, the actor had to get into his shape and so Hugh Jackman decided to share a video of him working out and getting his body ready. He captioned the video, “No days off-except for tomorrow.”
The actor shared the video in which he can be seen lifting weights and doing curls. A section of fans commented under his video that they have huge respect for him as at his age, maintaining oneself is a task and he has been doing that very impressively. But a few of them trolled the actor for his ‘skinny legs’. They tweeted, “Don’t forget the legs,” with someone else tweeting, “Don’t skip leg day, Logan.”
But fans also took their opportunity to remind the actor that they still look up to him and they understand that preparing for a role like Wolverine demands physical and mental strength. They added that looking at him giving his best has inspired them to give their best. Some fans also appreciated the actor’s work ethic.

The actor shared with Chis Wallace last year about getting his body in shape for Wolverine. He said via People,
“I’ve learned you can’t rush it. I’ve learned that it takes time. So, we have six months from when I finish Broadway’s The Music Man to when I start filming. And I’m not doing any other work. I’m going to be with my family and train. This is going to be my job for six months.”
Jackman acknowledged at the time that he was healthy and was at a good place to start transforming his body to play the superhero.

Hugh Jackman on returning as Wolverine for Deadpool 3
In a conversation with CNN, Hugh Jackman spoke about his return to play the character after seven years. He went ahead to clarify the storyline for the movie as fans were curious about the events in Deadpool 3 clashing with the events and storyline of Logan. He said,
“I mean, you’ve categorized it as a Deadpool movie. We like to call it Wolverine 10 in our house. Basically, this is taking place…the story line is pre-Logan. Which is exactly as you said where Logan died. So, we pre that in the storyline.”
Jackman continued on his decision to return,
“I really thought I was done. Like, I was at peace with it. I got asked every day, either in interviews or Ryan Reynolds ringing me, ‘Can we do it again?’, I’m like, ‘No, I’m done.’ Someone said to me, I think it was Deb, she’s my wife, she said, ‘You know, after this, what is it you really want to do? And I was just driving down a day later and I thought, ‘What do I want?’, And it came to me like that because when I keep thinking of me and Ryan, and Deadpool and Wolverine, which are classic comic book rivals, there’s also a dynamic that I’ve never really got to do before as Wolverine.”
Ryan Reynolds has requested fans to not share any pictures from their set and spoil the movie before it’s ready. Deadpool 3 is set to arrive in theatres on 26th July, 2024.
