After celebrating their World Series victory in November 2022, the Houston Astors are back on the field. With an attempt to defend their World Series title, the Astros are looking forward to being MLB’s champions yet again in 2023. But, this time it seems they have a major issue since their second baseman, Jose Altuve is injured. Nonetheless, the team seems to have sterling support from Mark Wahlberg.

Jose Altuve Suffers Injury Before The Season

As the 2023 championship approaches, it is becoming even more difficult for the Houston Astors to dream of sustaining their World Series title. With their second baseman Jose Altuve being injured, the team is currently standing with an unfortunate fate. Recalling the World Baseball Classic game between USA vs. Venezuela, Altuve suffered a fracture to his thumb during the match.

It was further reported Jose Altuve will require two months until he can resume his baseball activities. After accidentally hitting his thumb during the match, Altuve left the pitch immediately due to obvious pain. Further, being a high-profile player, his absence is making the team wonder about their World Series title. Altuve’s absence for two months seems like a major blow to the Astors since they are attempting to defend their title.

Although players are expected to replace Altuve, it is fair to acknowledge, barely a few would be up to the task.
