Feeling overwhelmed with all the speculations and sensational news that were based on her life, Garner disclosed how she thus keeps her children away from social media.

Calling herself “too sensitive” regarding any news article written about her and her family, Jennifer Garner started avoiding news channels and paparazzi. Recalling a traumatic phase, the 51-year-old discussed the atrocities faced by her, as the media tried intervening in her family, to get their hands on all the flashy headline-making news.

Sitting for an interview with Allure to discuss her difficult times, and struggling years of life, Jennifer Garner pledges to be an open book for her readers. Highlighting her life after embracing motherhood, the 51-year-old actress, stated, “There were two decades where it was really hard to hold a conversation”. Recalling how the media started interfering in her life making her overwhelmed right after childbirth, Garner stated “The day after I had a baby, [the paparazzi] were watching again.”

Struggling with the involvement of the paparazzi in her life, the 51-year-old expressed the overwhelming feeling. Discussing the atrocities of the media, Garner hinted at the way she was unnecessarily blamed by the media for her ex-husband, Ben Affleck‘s alcoholism. “They kind of rush you through your life because they’re just trying to get to the next stage of something they can sell” the actress stated.

Discussing how media not only interferes but also takes control of one’s life, Jennifer Garner expressed what it feels like to be in the spotlight. “It’s one thing to feel like someone is always watching you, but to feel like they are judging, controlling…as you work your way through lifeAllure articulated Garner’s feelings in the best possible way. However, the actress further discussed her decision of cutting off the media for protecting her mental peace as well as her family.

Stating her attempts at keeping the media out of her as well as her family’s life, Jennifer Garner discussed her sensitivity towards news channels. “I learned a while ago that I’m way too sensitive to what is written about me, my family.” the 51-year-old stated. Attempting to shut out the media, Garner stopped reading news articles. “The only things I have on my phone are The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal” she mentioned.

Totally overwhelmed by all the negativity spread by news outlets, Garner stated, “I can’t even have CNN.” Expressing her genuine struggles, the actress added, “I used to love the Huffington Post, but anything that has a celebrity section” – with a head shake to express her disapproval. As a result of avoiding news channels, the 51-year-old even mentioned being unaware of what was going on around her.

Stopping the media and paparazzi from interfering with her and her family’s life, Garner “created an unmediated relationship with the world on her own terms”. With no more overwhelming feelings, the Juno star stated, “The paparazzi have calmed down so much for me that I’m back to being in the world.” Creating a world of her own, that is sweet, inclusive, and easy, without the involvement of the media, Garner lives in her own terms.
