She also met her husband Mark Conseulos on the sets of All My Children.
In 2001, Kelly Ripa joined the show Live! with Regis Philbin. She went on to win the Daytime Emmy five times for best talk show host with Live! After the exit of Regis Philbin from the show, the actor-turned-author was joined by the likes of Michael Strahan and Ryan Seacrest. Kelly Ripa’s Special Farewell Gift To Ryan Seacrest
The famous talk show host Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos surprised Ryan Seacrest with a perfect farewell gift. The couple gifted the 48-year-old TV presenter personalized designer golf gear. As the American Idol host has been interested in staying fit nowadays, he was excited to be gifted something related to the sports he is interested in.
“I’m starting to get sporty now. I’m into tennis, I’m into golf — meaning I’ve gotten some equipment. Kelly has heard and seen the photo evidence of me wanting to get into golf. So, she and Mark purchased me the most beautiful, elegant, designer golf bag that now I have,”
The American media personality even went on to say, “I can’t wait to get out and use it.”
Ryan Seacrest would no longer be a part of the show Live! With Kelly And Ryan. It was announced by him in February on one of the episodes. His last episode as the talk show host was aired last Friday. The farewell of Ryan Seacrest saw teary eyes and expressions of gratitude from co-host Kelly Ripa.
She was having a difficult time processing her emotions. The actor went on to express her love and gratitude towards her co-host for years. Ripa said,
“For many years, Ryan’s ability to be the person featuring the talents of other people has been part of his job. But on our show, I feel like you got to show off your immeasurable talents to the world.”
She continued,
“I always jokingly referred to you an onion with all of these layers. but really, what you are is a blooming onion; you are layers upon layers of goodness, of a kind, of charm … your generosity is unmatched.”
Ryan Seacrest’s family and his girlfriend Aubrey Paige were also present for the farewell episode of the show.
Mark Consuelos To Replace Ryan Seacrest as Talk Show Host
Goodbyes are never easy. Fans around the world were shocked when Kelly Ripa’s co-host Ryan Seacrest said goodbye to the talk show Live! With Kelly And Ryan. But goodbyes also borough new beginnings. The replacement for Seacrast was none other than Kelly Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos. The show would be renamed Live! With Kelly And Mark. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been married for over two decades. They are one of the rarest couples in Hollywood who have stuck together through the ups and downs of their life. While talking about his co-host Kelly Ripa, Ryan Seacrest went on to say,
“Working alongside Kelly over the past six years has been a dream job and one of the highlights of my career. She has been an amazing partner, friend, and confidant, and although we will always be a part of each other’s lives, I will miss our mornings together.”
Ryan Seacrest also went on to express his gratitude towards the producers of the show. He said-
“I also want to thank [executive producer] Michael Gelman and the entire staff and crew — we’ve made memories to last a lifetime, met some of the most incredible people and had the warmest welcome into the homes of so many viewers across America. It’s been a memorable ride and now I’m excited to pass the baton to Kelly’s ‘real’ husband, Mark.”
Ryan Seacrest has been a fan-favorite host for years, and filling in his shoes would not be easy for Mark Consuelos.
