“I definitely think I have a s-x addiction”: Jada Pinkett Smith Blames Her Condition After Shamelessly Cheating on Will Smith With Son’s Best Friend August Alsina

Jada Pinkett Smith Is A Self Proclaimed S*x Addict
During an episode of Red Table Talk show, Jada Pinkett Smith opened up on her addiction and the struggles that come along with it. The show is hosted by the actor’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris and daughter Willow Smith. It’s all about the candid conversations between the women of the three generations.
The American actress spoke about how addiction has run in her family over the generations. She has dealt with her own set of challenges with her addiction to drugs and s*x. She said-
“Alcoholism and drug addiction runs through my family and I’ve had my own addiction that I’ve had to get over,” Pinkett Smith admitted. “It’s just made me realize that really great people just get caught up.”
When a fan went on to ask about her experience of addiction, she replied candidly-
“My sort of addictions jump. They jump around,” the actor said. “When I was younger, I definitely think I had a sex addiction of some kind… everything could be fixed by sex. Then I became a gym addict.”
According to Jada Pinkett Smith, she is a binger- someone who indulges excessively in anything. She said-
“I am a binger, and I always have to watch myself and I can just get obsessed with things. It’s not what you’re doing but how you’re with it. Why you’re doing it. It’s the behavior that’s attached to it because if you want to have a lot of sex, that’s great, but why are you having all that sex? That’s what you’ve got to look at,”
The conversation became very emotional and touchy, on the concluding note she said-
“There’s a stigma and a stereotype attached to addiction that makes it difficult for people to seek the help that they need,” she said. “If I can in any way help with just a little bit of some of that then it will be worth it.”
Jada Pinkett Smith also struggles with Alopecia, a skin disorder that leads to severe hair fall.
Jada Pinkett Smith And Will Smith’s Relationship Timeline
Once the power couple of Hollywood, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith met each other on the sets of the movie Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1990. The Men In Black actors tied the knot in 1997. However, the Gotham actor confessed during the cover story of People in 2019 that-
“I never wanted to get married. But my mother was like, ‘You have to get married’—she’s so old-school—and Will wanted a family. So I said, ‘Alright, maybe it’s something I should do.’”
Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith were rumored to be in an open marriage. The Scream 2 actor, debunked the baseless rumors with a Facebook post, that mentioned-

During one of the episodes of the Red Table Talk show, Jada Pinkett Smith confessed to Will Smith, who was sitting across from her, that she cheated on him when they were on a break. The controversial episode created waves in Hollywood. During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Aladdin actor spoke about his connection with his wife. He said-
“Me and Jada, to this day, if we start talking, it’s four hours. It’s four hours if we exchange a sentence. It’s the center of why we’ve been able to sustain [our relationship] and why we are still together, not choking the life out of each other—the ability to work through issues. I’ve never met another person that I connect with in conversation more blissfully and productively than Jada.”
The couple has been married for 25 years and have only grown stronger together with their highs and lows and have been open about almost everything with each other.
