“I did not come from a wealthy family”: The Marvels Star Park Seo-joon’s Story Will Tear Up MCU Fans

Park Seo-joon Led A Difficult Life As A Child
Park Seo-joon might be the owner of a whopping $21 million now, which has granted him the ability to live in lavish properties and enjoy his wealth and fame. However, he wasn’t always able to afford this luxury, and like everyone else, he made his way to the top with his talent and skills.
Talking with The Guardian following confirmation of his making his Hollywood debut through MCU’s upcoming film, The Marvels starring Brie Larson, the South Korean actor shared details about how he spent his life as a child. He said:
“I didn’t come from a wealthy family and we had to move around a lot as a result, but I was able to meet a lot of different people at school and that made me more mature.”
While ‘a child’ and ‘maturity’ aren’t the most ideal words to be used in a sentence together considering how children are called children because of their immaturity, Seo-joon didn’t quite have the choice to even decide that when he was young. Continuing, he further delved into some more heartbreaking details about how he grew up to be the near-perfect person that he is today:
“Some of my earliest memories from childhood are of me just trying to find my way, instead of memories of being happy all the time.”
Looking at how far he has come from back when he wasn’t even allowed the luxury of enjoying his life as a youngster, Park Seo-joon must most certainly be proud of himself for all the hard work he has done to have reached a place where he is recognized as one of the wealthiest actors in his home country.
Park Seo-joon Is As Kind And Generous As He Looks
Despite having to go through a lot throughout his childhood, Park Seo-joon wasn’t one to become arrogant and egoistical when he finally earned the wealth, love, respect, and fame that he most certainly deserved. In fact, the millionaire is more invested in donations than most would expect of him.

As per reports, the What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? star hasn’t been one to withhold when it comes to charity. A few years after he earned his true fame with K-dramas like She Was Pretty, Seo-joon is reported to have donated KRW100 million (approx. $75,992) to Hope Bridge to help the victims of the forest fires in the Gangwon Province, South Korea.
Furthermore, he donated the same amount the following year to aid the victims of Korea’s floods and then was once again reported to have donated KRW100 million to Daegu Metropolitan City to help with COVID-19 relief efforts. What’s more, is that Seo-joon makes all these donations under a different name: his birth name, Park Yong-kyu.
