January 2022 released Netflix series, I Am Georgina revolves around the story of the model, Georgina Rodriguez who in the first episode of the series shares her first encounter with football star Cristiano Ronaldo and his son, Cristiano Jr.
For the unversed, the former met the footballer when the 28-year-old businesswoman was working at the Gucci store in Madrid.
The model shared,
“The day I met Cristiano it was a Thursday in summer. I’m on my way to work I get to Gucci as usual, I was off at 5 in the afternoon and a colleague calls me and says ‘hey Geo’ I’m on vacation but listen, there’s a client who’s going to buy some coats so please stay half an hour and take care of her.”
“When I was leaving the store I see a very handsome man appear, almost two meters tall he was with a boy and some friends and I stand frozen,” she further stated.
She explained that she felt shy to even look at them.
“So it was funny, you know [laughs]. Like the kid, it said ‘Hi’ to me. Of course, to a young girl, pretty. I started feeling butterflies in my stomach and said ‘Huh, what’s going on with me?’. So I didn’t even wanna look at him. I was very shy,” she shared.
Not just the former, but the sports celebrity had also shared his narrative on meeting the model.
Cristiano Ronaldo Shared His Thoughts on Meeting His Now Partner Georgina Rodriguez
The 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo shared his feelings after meeting his now partner stating, “That was when I went in and Geo was there. It was like a moment, what’s the word for it, we clicked.”
“And that’s when she got stuck in my head. That’s the pure truth,” he stated.
The businesswoman then shared on her part, “I started taking care of him at Gucci, and one day he wrote and asked if I was going to an event. When I got there he looked very handsome, I remember exactly how he was dressed, how I was dressed.”
Ronaldo shared that their conversation happened frequently with their meetups “went in a natural way.”
After a few months, the sports personality invited his partner to dinner which then sparked rumors about their relationship.
After their first meeting in 2016, their relationship caught media attention with the couple going official through social media the very next year. They are going strong as a couple since then.
Meanwhile, the sports star is recently in the highlights for his remarks he said in the Piers Morgan Uncensored interview. He said that he does not “respect” Erik ten Hag adding that the Manchester United manager tried to force him out in the summer.
