Bella Thorne Hits Back At The Director Who Accused Her Of Flirting With Him At Age 10
The 25-year-old actress Bella Thorne appeared on Tuesday’s High Low With EmRata podcast, discussing her traumatic challenges as a child star. In a conversation with Emily Ratajkowski, the actress admitted that she “goes back” to the encounter “every day,” saying it drives her insane.
The Shake It Up actress remembered her audition when she was ten years old and how uncomfortable the director made her feel with his claims. Thorne explained on the podcast,
“The casting director calls my agent, and the agent calls my mom, and they’re like, ‘So, she’s not moving forward because the director felt like she was flirting with him, and it made him really uncomfortable.’”
Thorne continued,
“What the f**k are you talking about, man? I don’t give a f**k what I said. I don’t care if I said, ‘Eat my p***y right now,’ she is ten years old! Why ever would you think that? Why?”
EmRata said,
“Also, him feeling that was a real issue.“
Thorne said,
“I … am trying to find almost fault in myself. Like, ‘What did you do, Bella? What did you do? You made him feel like this.’”
“Also, you’re in a director session. You can’t really say or do much. You do the scene; you say hello, and you walk out. There’s no time to, like, lemme go sit on your lap or make you feel uncomfortable. What the f**k are you talking about, man?”
In response, Ratajkowski told Thorne to “forgive” herself because she was just a kid then and hoped the director would pay off for that in hell.
Bella Thorne Takes Her Power Back
Despite being taken from her voice at a very young age, the former Disney Channel star Bella Thorne has worked tirelessly to regain it and to take her inner power back.
She told Ratajkowski,
“I feel like I’ve rocked the word ‘s*x’ for a long time, and I’ll always keep rocking this word because it’s what’s been put on me since I was so little, and yet it’s still something that I’ve taken so much of my own power back by owning that word.”
Despite being only 10, the Shake It Up actress constantly reminded herself that she was not the problem and was just a kid at the time. Furthermore, Thorne described nearly losing her Disney job after showing up to a beach in a bikini and body chain. As a 14-year-old, she recalled another incident as she was on the beach with her stylist, and she wore a body chain during a shoot and paparazzi photographed her; her picture went viral, and people found it disgusting. The 25-year-old recalled that the industry forced Disney to fire her during those days.
Additionally, she debunked rumors that she was using hard drugs amid her acne struggles. In addition, Ratajkowski also recounted an inappropriate exchange with her agent when she was 16 years old. However, the Gone Girl actress consoled the Shake It Up actress and praised her for standing up for herself.
