“I don’t have tolerance to black out, I just start puking”: Jennifer Lawrence Was Afraid ‘The Hunger Games’ Co-star Would Sue Her After Getting Hurt in Her House
Undoubtedly, one of Hollywood’s most prominent stars is Jennifer Lawrence. She has been captivating audiences with her talent and genuine charm for more than ten years. With her acting debut in the movie Garden Party in 2008, she started her career. Since then, she has risen to the top and even won an Academy Award. Most notably, she gained international recognition for her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise.
The fearless actor, though, once feared being sued. Lawrence once told in an interview of a time when she felt afraid. She recalled her concern that, following an accident at her home, her Hunger Games co-star may take legal action against her.
Jennifer Lawrence admitted to having a low alcohol tolerance
Even when it comes to her partying habits, Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence isn’t one to disguise her quirks. She publicly admitted to having a low tolerance for alcohol during an interview. Lawrence mentioned once,
“If I do stay out late and I’m partying hard, I will throw up. I don’t have the tolerance to black out; I just start puking.”
Additionally, Jennifer Lawrence highlighted her bond with Emma Stone with a humorous story. She thought back to a time when they had gone to see Adele in Los Angeles and Lawrence had ended up needing some tender loving care from Stone. She acknowledged that her lifestyle of excessive drinking doesn’t exactly reflect her status as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after stars. Lawrence even playfully compared herself to a granny.
“I don’t really stay out late. I’m kind of a bummer. I’m a nana. It’s hard to get me out, and when I do go out, I don’t really stay out late.”
Though said in a quirky manner, this nature of hers might have gotten her into trouble.
Jennifer Lawrence was concerned about being sued
On the Hunger Games set, Jennifer Lawrence and Woody Harrelson developed a lovely friendship. So they hung out outside of work as well. One evening began as any other party of friends would, but it quickly spiraled out of control. Lawrence acknowledged that she frequently becomes nauseous rather than passing out when she indulges in late-night partying. She jokingly recounted how her intolerance for excessive drinking resulted in a memorable but somewhat chaotic night.
Woody Harrelson made the choice to spend the night at Lawrence’s house as the evening developed. It was perhaps to make sure she was safe. The party, however, took an unexpected turn when Lawrence ended up shattering a candle and caused a fuss while puking while intoxicated. The following day, Harrelson cut his foot, which led to a slight injury, and Lawrence was concerned about probable legal repercussions. After Harrelson cut his foot, the two friends had a conversation that went somewhat like this: Lawrence said, “F***, am I going to get sued?” And Harrelson replied, “Are you going to ask if I’m okay?” to that statement.
In the interview, Lawrence acknowledged that the party had gotten out of control and turned wild. But it was funny how her initial response to her friend’s injury was whether she would face legal action or not. It’s one of those quirky, not-so-relatable issues that can sometimes arise in the lives of Hollywood stars we guess!
