Recently, during an appearance on the famous talk show Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the actor was asked about her views on the widespread dating rumors of Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet. Jennifer Lawrence mentioned-
“I don’t like that he didn’t get my permission, but I support it.”
The X-Men actor was asked about the speculations around Miley Cyrus’ golden dress in her controversial song Flowers, which indirectly pointed toward her. The Hunger Games actor said-
“Not true. I would love to [clarify]. Not true. Total rumor. I mean, we all know that me and Liam, like, kissed one time. It was years after they broke up. So I just assume that was, like, a coincidence.”
According to the rumors, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth’s alleged affair was one of the most prominent reasons behind the divorce between The Last Song actor duo.
How Did Timothee Chalamet Land Up With Wonka?
After much screening and auditions, director Paul King found his Wonka in Timothee Chalamet. The prequel musical Wonka’s trailer has already excited the fans of the actor and they cannot wait for the comedy-drama. During an interview with the reputed media outlet Rolling Stone, the director spoke about his project and how the Ladybird actor was the perfect choice for Wonka. He said-
“It was a straight offer because he’s great and he was the only person in my mind who could do it. But because he’s Timothée Chalamet and his life is so absurd, his high school musical performances are on YouTube and have hundreds of thousands of views. So I knew from standing for Timmy Chalamet that he could sing and dance really well.”
Paul King further continued,
“I knew that was in his arsenal, but I didn’t know how good he was. When I spoke to him, he was quite keen. He’d done, tap dancing in high school and he was like, ‘I’d quite like to show people I can do that.’”
During an interview with Vogue UK in September 2022, the Bones And All actor revealed being a big fan of author Roald Dahl. Timothee Chalamet would be portraying the role of Willy Wonka in the upcoming musical comedy-drama. Gene Wilder played the role in 1971’s live-action adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, he was succeeded by Johnny Depp in the 2005 remake of the movie.
Wonka would be released on December 15, 2023, worldwide.
