She’s 21. She’ll forever look 12. I don’t mean that in a good way. It’s nice to look younger than you are, but when you look too young and she’s short, I don’t look at her as a woman.

Williams further added that it was being said that Grande was going to come for Mariah Carey’s crown because she can hit the same notes and added that when she came out, even Williams was on board with the idea. But the host explained that after studying the singer-actress for a while, she realized that Carey is a woman, whereas Grande will always be a little girl.

Wendy Williams also commented on Grande’s signature ponytail, adding that it’s cute, but if one is trying to look older, one shouldn’t be wearing a ponytail. The comments from Wendy Williams led Grande’s fans to trend #CancelWendyWilliams on Twitter [now X] as they went on to state that the 51-year-old host shouldn’t be talking about Grande or any other celebrity the way she has been. [She is 60 now.]

Fans were loud and clear at the time that Williams did not need to put any artist down to entertain the audience. They mentioned that they knew that Ariana Grande would never respond to these comments, but they were going to stand up for their idol and make Williams realize that whatever she said was disrespectful.

Williams shares Kevin Hunter Jr. with her ex-husband Kevin Hunter, and where her son often stays away from the limelight, she decided to appear in the trailer for her documentary, Where is Wendy Williams? Hunter Jr.’ expressed his concerns about his mother’s well-being and her ability to return to TV. He said via People

My mom always talks about how she wants to work, but I feel as though she’s worked enough. She has people around her that are ‘yes people’ and allowing this to continue. I feel like the guardian has not done a good job of protecting my mom.

Sabrina Morrissey was the court-appointed guardian of Wendy Williams. After her diagnosis was made public, Williams shared a statement via People that read that she continues to need personal space and peace to thrive. She added that everyone’s positivity and encouragement are deeply appreciated.

Morrissey filed a lawsuit against the A+E Networks alleging that the network had exploited Williams in the documentary. She mentioned that the network filmed the media personality without a valid contract and released it without the Guardian’s consent. She also mentioned that Williams was in a highly vulnerable state and was not fit to consent to being filmed.
