The movie Don’t Worry Darling garnered major public attention due to several factors that happened off-the-screen during the entire promotion of the film. Among the drama, actress Florence Pugh and film director, Olivia Wilde were majorly involved in an alleged feud that was felt by many throughout its promotion. While the film managed to work well, the actress seems not to want to delve into it any further.

The 27-year-old Marvel star, Florence Pugh in a recent Vanity Fair interview, opened up about not entertaining any questions regarding her last year’s publicized psychological thriller film, Don’t Worry Darling. The reason is that she wanted The Wonder‘s film promotion to be positive as it has always been unlike the infamous alleged feud between Olivia Wilde and her in the film.

She told the outlet,

“Ideally, I don’t really want to be going down the Don’t Worry Darling conversation because this whole release for The Wonder has been so positive.”

She continued,

“And I’ve been really excited to talk about that. I don’t really feel the need to go into the nitty-gritty details of Don’t Worry Darling. So, if it’s okay, I’ll probably just let that one sit.”

It seems that the actress wants to let go of the unhealthy environment she allegedly was in due to the drama that involved the film director.

Set in the 1950s, the psychological thriller film starred Wilde’s ex-boyfriend Harry Styles and the Black Widow star as the main lead of the film. The movie was involved in a string of controversies which included Shia LaBeouf’s replacement with the One Direction alum, on-set tension between the director and female lead, and the budding romance of Wilde and Styles, among a few others.

Their tension seemed to catch much public attention, as the actress’s absence during the promotion of the film seeded many doubts among the audience.

It was reported that the duo was involved in a screaming match, however, film’s crew shared at the time,

“There was never a screaming match between our director and anyone, let alone a member of our cast.”

Even Wilde denied the clash between the duo and even praised the actress for her contribution to the film. Due to the alleged feud, the film received mixed reviews, however, it ended well as it grossed $87 million on a budget of $35 million.
