Zendaya Refuses To Talk About Her Embarrassing Meeting With Her Dune Co-star Timothee Chalamet
Zendaya, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, and Timothee Chalamet recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live during the promotion of the second chapter of Dune. The Euphoria actor revealed an embarrassing encounter with her Dune co-star Timothee Chalamet. The Wonka star mentioned-
“There was a weird airport meeting,”
Zendaya quickly added-
“Yeah, we were on the same flight, and I fell in the airport and that was technically our first meeting, I don’t wanna talk about it,”
Florence Pugh asked the Challengers star-
“You fell? And did he help you? No. No. Ignore it.”
Zendaya was curious to know whether Timothee Chalamet saw her tripping at the airport. She asked-
“Did you actually … did you see me fall?”
To which Chalamet replied-
“I think I just saw Zendaya fall,”
Florence Pugh was confused and asked the 28-year-old actor whether he helped her or not. The Call Me By Your Name actor said-
“Well, I didn’t know her! I didn’t know what to do!”
Zendaya and Timothee came together for the first chapter of the sci-fi drama Dune in 2021. The Malcolm and Marie actor would be seen in her upcoming sports drama Challengers along with Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist.
Timothée Chalamet On Filming Romantic Scenes With Zendaya For Dune: Part Two
During the promotion of Dune Part 2, Timothee Chalamet and Austin Butler appeared on the reputed media outlet Entertainment Tonight. The Interstellar actor spoke about the kissing scene with Zendaya. The interviewer asked if it was natural for them to shoot the kissing scene as they have been good friends since their Dune Part 1 days. Chalamet replied-
“It’s not weird in the scope of the movie, but we have a joke here. I mean, I don’t wanna say it, I don’t wanna say the word here cuz, you know, but it’s just like… in another nature, it’s weird as hell! Because, like, we’re so close platonically, so it’s just the strangest part of the job.”
He further mentioned that it felt strange to kiss Zendaya, but he knew that it was a part of their job. The Lady Bird actor said-
“In the scope of the movie, it’s totally (Laughs) what is happening. I also feel like we’re so tight now, it really is just another day at work. I don’t know what that says about the nature of our jobs, but it’s just another day at work. (Laughs)”
Dune Part 2 will be hitting the theatres on March, 15th 2024.
