‘I evolved a lot’: Don’t Worry Darling Director Olivia Wilde Claims Harry Styles Relationship Wasn’t Born Out of Infidelity as Fans Accuse Her of Destroying Ex Jason Sudeikis’ Life
The much-anticipated film Don’t Worry Darling is making headlines ahead of its release. The film’s director Olivia Wilde has recently responded to her infidelity rumors, claiming that her relationship with singer-actor Harry Styles, has nothing to do with her long-time partner Jason Sudeikis. The actor-director was alleged of leaving her former boyfriend to date the As It Was singer.
Olivia Wilde Responds About Her Love Life
The 38-year-old American filmmaker, Olivia Wilde has recently spoken about her love life in a new cover story of Vanity Fair’s issue for October. The actress reacted to the alleged accusation which states that she ended her relationship with former fiancee Jason Sudeikis to start dating Harry Styles. She told, “The complete horses–t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate.”
Explaining her relationship with her long-time partner, “Our relationship was over long before I met Harry.” She continued, “Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight.”
The star candidly shared that the former couple “had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the (COVID-19) pandemic.” She added, “We were raising two kids during the lockdown, so we co-parented through that time.”
The ex-couple started dating each other back in 2011 and later got engaged for several years sharing two children, Daisy and Otis. Though the couple as Wilde stated had a “bumpy road,” they called it quits back in 2020.

After ending her relationship with her long-time partner, she began dating the Dunkirk star after meeting him on the sets of her upcoming film. Stating about her breakup with Sudeikis, she shared, “we could be better parents as friends who live in different houses.”
The House star shared that she was “up front” with her children regarding the situation involving their father and her new boyfriend stating, “They understand the concept of making decisions to protect yourself and to live an authentic, happy life. They really do.”
Adding about how she evolved from her relationships, she shared, “I evolved a lot” who found herself as a “director” adding, “And I think I found myself as an individual,” she continued. “And sometimes when you evolve, you evolve out of relationships that were based on an earlier version of yourself.”
Olivia Wilde’s directorial Don’t Worry Darling starring Harry Styles and Florence Pugh along with many others is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 23.
