“I feel like people are obsessed with Ye and me”: Ex-Girlfriend Amber Rose Ignores Kanye West’s Love For Her, Says Wiz Khalifa Was Better
In the late 2000s, rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, and model Amber Rose’s relationship was a hot topic in the industry. The two started dating in 2008 before the rapper began working on his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The two were spotted countless times together at award shows, and fashion events.
However, their relationship came to an end in 2010. The model went on to date rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2012 while Kanye West was spotted with socialite Kim Kardashian for the first time. Rose recently compared both her ex-partners, Wiz Khalifa, and Kanye West. In the past, she has accused the Donda rapper of being an “a**hole.”
Amber Rose chose Wiz Khalifa over Kanye West
American model Amber Rose recently appeared on Sofia Franklyn’s Sofia with an F podcast and talked about her relationship with rapper Kanye West. The two dated for roughly two years between 2008-2010 and it was a crucial period for Amber Rose as she rose to fame during the late 2000s when she was in a relationship with the rapper. Sofia Franklyn then asked her to choose between Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa. Rose replied,
“Kanye and Wiz? Wiz, girl! That’s not even a question. I think people like to ask about my relationship with Kanye, but it was 13 years ago guys.”
After ending her relationship with West in 2010, the model went on to date rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2012. The two got married in 2013 but got divorced in 2016. They share a son together named Sebastian Taylor Thomaz.
Why did Amber Rose leave the rapper?
The two started dating in 2008, right before the rapper started working on his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. He reportedly got so involved in the album that Rose felt neglected so she decided to end the relationship for good. She further told Franklyn that the rapper is not that relevant in her life,
“I feel like people are obsessed with [us] because it was a great time in pop culture, but in my personal life, it is not relevant.”
West even name-dropped Wiz Khalifa in his 2012 single called, Cold. Khalifa then challenged him to rename his album and their online beef went on for a while.

Amber Rose once revealed that Kanye West was an “a**hole“
One year after the two broke up, the model made an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show and revealed that the rapper was an “a**hole,”
“He was an a**hole and he was mean to me … and he didn’t treat me the way he was supposed to.”
Fast forward to 2016, Rose appeared in an episode of the Guys We F***ed podcast and revealed that she was never in love with him. She openly stated that she felt true love with Wiz Khalifa. So, this is not the first time Rose has preferred Wiz Khalifa over West.
