Being an actor can sometimes be a tough job that requires a person to carry out scenes even if they are not as willing to. Emma Stone in her 2011 film Crazy, Stupid, Love did one scene with her Co-star Ryan Gosling that scared her to the point where she started getting panic attacks. Similarly, in The Amazing Spider-Man film series, the actor had to experience more such scenes that required jumping, lifting, and so on.

And although the action scenes were mostly done with the help of harnesses or stunt doubles, Stone seemingly still got panic attacks similar to the Dirty Dancing lift in her 2011 film.

Taking this in 2014, her role as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also involved a scene where she had to do a bit of jumping here and there.

While filming for her 2011 rom-com Crazy, Stupid, Love, Emma Stone had to carry out a scene along with her co-star Ryan Gosling in an intimate scene. However, this requires Stone to jump over her co-star as if she is trying to fly over him as he grabs her midway. This scene was a re-creation of the famous Dirty Dancing (1987) ‘lift scene’.

Gosling’s character asks his love interest played by Stone to reenact the scene which she eventually agrees to. The Easy A star revealed that the scene gave her panic attacks on set. And the coping mechanism she used was to watch a cartoon on TV while crying.
